I’m Kate and this is my site. Here you’ll find some of my current portfolio of portraits. Please feel free to browse! I’m also available for commissions – either from life (if you’re local to Worcestershire) or send me a photo and I’ll be happy to create you a personal individual piece of art.
All works on this site are original and so are one-off. If you find something you like that’s been sold you’re of course welcome to commission me to paint you one like it.

Worcestershire Open Studios 2019
Thank you to everyone who visited me over the bank holiday weekend. We raised £120 for Riding for the Disabled from teas, coffees and wonderful cake made by our talented friends.
I’d also like to thank everyone who helped me. It was the first time I’d tried it, and I found it a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I’m already looking forward to next year’s Open Studios!

Artist of the Year!
I’m over the moon to have been awarded the SAA’s Artist of the Year 2018 – Best Beginner Animal or Wildlife.
It was my ‘Hopeful Boxer’ that the judges liked the most – it’s available to see on their website here.
Sample Work
Above is some work from my portfolio. I find my great enjoyment in painting complements my love of animals (our cats and horses provide a lot of material!).
Commissions
I would love to help you create a beautiful piece of art work. I welcome commissions so if you have a favourite animal or a treasured pet you would love to be captured forever please get in touch!
Portraits are done in soft pastel on highest quality paper – which if looked after will last a lifetime.
If you’re looking for a special birthday, I’d be delighted to help.
Please send at least one photograph (the more I have the more I can get an overall understanding of your pet) to kate@kateg.co.uk. Better photos are taken at the same level as the pet, with the subject as big as possible in the frame. If you’re local we do offer a photography service.
All prices are unframed, but a professional framing service is available.
